A LITTLE KNOW-HOW. A LOT OF WOW.

How to build a
sandcastle with kids.

Bring the kit, find your patch of sand, and let’s build. Start with the four-step method, then explore troubleshooting, designs, and a little sand science.

01

Fill.

Fill the open mold with dry sand. Let it settle into the details.

02

Pour.

Add water with the bucket. Gently tap the mold to help sand settle.

03

Lift.

Lift the mold straight up to reveal your tower or wall.

04

Sculpt.

Add toppers, carve windows, and make the castle your own.

A little pro tip

Tap the mold gently while adding water to help the sand settle evenly. Lift slowly and straight up, then let the creativity take over.

Filling the open tower mold with dry sand
START WITH YOUR TOOLS

Get to know
your kit.

Start with one tower and one wall, then build outward as you get comfortable. The scoop loads dry sand, the bucket pours water, and the shaping tool adds the finishing touches.

WHEN YOUR CASTLE HAS BIG PLANS

Make it your own.

01 / THE FIRST FORT

Connect the dots.

Build two towers, then connect them with a wall. Add a gate with your shaping tool.

02 / THE BIG BUILD

Grow your kingdom.

Repeat towers and walls around an open courtyard. Make room for everyone’s ideas.

03 / THE FINISHING TOUCH

Tell a story.

Carve doors and windows, stamp the tops, or decorate with shells you find nearby.

If your build needs a second try.

The sand crumbles when I lift the mold.
Try letting the sand settle more evenly while adding water. Tap the mold gently, check for air pockets through the clear sides, and lift slowly and straight up. Sand varies between beaches, so a little experimentation helps.
Can we use sandbox sand?
The same fill, water, and lift method can be tried with clean play sand and water. Results depend on the sand. This kit is designed around sand-and-water building; we do not promise the same results with kinetic sand.
The scoop is holding onto wet sand.
Start with dry sand in the mold, then add water. Using the scoop to load very wet sand can make it harder to empty cleanly.
